Fulcrum for Social Uplift

ENEDEM Foundation is a not-for-profit company incorporated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) under the Companies Act, 2013. At ENEDEM Foundation, the mission is to build a sustainable education ecosystem and create equity in education. Together with donors and volunteers, ENEDEM strives to uplift the rural and economically backward communities by:

  • Empowering the rural population through education
  • Providing scholarship to girls to become trained teachers
  • Organising workshops to create self-employment for women
  • Conducting free online lessons with the help of volunteers
  • Providing free internet-independent resources to students

A team of like-minded professionals who share the vision of giving back to the community. Each team member has a personal story behind starting this foundation. It is a mission with passion.

Why?

Education empowers and liberates one from ignorance, paving way to progress. With the right guidance and support, the younger generation will reach greater heights.

How?

The foundation was started as bootstrap. The mission will be accomplished with the revenue generated from the DESK EdTech platform and generous donations from like minded people.

ENEDEM Foundation is built on volunteer support from professionals from various fields: Technology, Finance to name a few along with field agents and back-office personnel. Most importantly, volunteer teachers are the backbone of the education ecosystem.

Dr. Karthikeyan Sharavanan

Founder & Managing Director


Karthi is a director in a multi-national company and has lived across the globe for over 20 years now. He is a heart-centred entrepreneur. His vision is to make ENEDEM a sustainable education ecosystem.

Kiruthiga Sharavanan

Co-Founder and Executive Director


Kirthi is a passionate educator with years of international teaching experience. She loves working with young adults. She strongly believes that uplifting women will benefit the entire community.

Rema K Giridhar

Joint Director


Rema is multifaceted. She is a Consultant Psychologist and an Educationist who enjoys working with children. Being a social entrepreneur, she propagates and volunteers in many social welfare projects.
